MIDLAND AND SOUTHERN
Highland Cattle Club
ABOUT US
The MSHCC is a small, friendly club whose members all have a shared interest in Highland cattle. Founded in the early 1990s the club has gradually gained in size and interest ever since. We currently have around 50 members and are always happy to welcome new ones.

The club has lots of activities and events throughout the year where everyone gets together and has fun. We start off in January with the AGM. In April there is usually a visit arranged to see a centre that has Highland cattle or with a farming or agricultural interest. Throughout the summer there are over 20 shows where our Highland cattle win trophies and rosettes. Included in the line up is the Club Show which rotates around the various large shows and is a must see. In addition, usually around September, we have a fold visit to one of the club member’s farm. Lastly you will also receive a quarterly news letter…or should we say moosletter…that features articles on all the club’s events, competitions, recipes, adverts and the season’s show results.

COMMITTEE MEMBER
Guy Mumford, Highland cattle have been a very big part of my life, I have been involved with cattle and showing for over 30 years and love the Highland breed. They are characters, always enjoyable to watch and how the pecking order works. Showing is a very big part of what we do and of course the breeding to improve the quality of the cattle.
